Neck Botox

What Is Botox For?

Neuromodulators like BOTOX®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Daxxify®, and Jeuveau® are FDA-approved treatments for reducing fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial movements such as frowning and smiling. At NoMi Beach Health, facial and body Botox procedures are expertly performed by Jezwah Harris, JD, MSN, FNP-BC, NP-C, MEP-C, NE-BC, LNC, LPC. As an LGBTQ and BIPOC-owned med spa, we are proud to offer a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone, including men seeking tailored aesthetic treatments. Our goal is to help soften facial expressions, prevent the development of frown lines, furrowed brows, and more. In addition to aesthetic enhancements, neuromodulators can also be used to alleviate TMJ pain caused by teeth grinding and reduce the masseter muscle for a slimmer facial profile.

Our Tailored Approach to Botox

At NoMi Beach Health, we specialize in using neuromodulators like BOTOX®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Daxxify®, and Jeuveau® to refine and rejuvenate your appearance. These treatments work by temporarily limiting muscle movement, effectively softening fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother, more youthful look.

Why Consider Facial Neurotoxin Injections?

Facial neurotoxins are injected into targeted muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by repetitive facial expressions such as frowning, smiling, or squinting. The result is a naturally refreshed appearance that enhances your skin’s smoothness.

Our Philosophy

We believe in comprehensive treatment rather than isolated injections. Treating areas individually can often lead to suboptimal results and patient dissatisfaction. To ensure the best outcomes, we offer Global Optimization pricing for Xeomin®, while other neuromodulators are priced at $15 per unit.

Follow-Up Care

Your journey doesn’t end after your Botox appointment. Every patient is scheduled for a follow-up visit two weeks later to evaluate the results and address any additional needs. For those who choose Global Optimization, any additional units required at this appointment are complimentary. For patients who paid per unit, any additional units will be charged as needed.

At NoMi Beach Health, our goal is to provide personalized care that leaves you looking and feeling your absolute best.

Freequently Asked Questions

At NoMi Beach Health, we use a global optimization approach for Botox, offering unlimited units for the upper third of the face. For patients wanting to treat specific areas, Botox is priced at $15 per unit.

Botox typically lasts 3-4 months on average.

A frozen look is not the goal for most patients unless specifically requested. Our approach focuses on limited movement to create a natural, refreshed appearance. Results typically begin to appear within a few days after treatment.

The 2-week follow-up is essential to assess whether touch-ups are needed. If additional units are required, it’s usually just a minor adjustment, provided at no extra cost. This helps us fine-tune your treatment and update your chart for future visits.

The number of units required will depend on your facial anatomy and goals, determined during your consultation. Stronger facial muscles may need more units to achieve the desired level of movement restriction.

Everyone’s facial anatomy is different. While your friend may need 30 units, your unique needs might differ. Our global optimization pricing ensures you receive the appropriate number of units for the upper third of your face for optimal results.

Botox works well for dynamic lines around the eyes (crow’s feet), but it’s not suitable for treating smile lines around the mouth. For those, we recommend considering nasolabial fold filler, smile line filler, or lip filler.

“Baby Botox” refers to using smaller doses of Botox to prevent wrinkle formation. While the term suggests a lighter approach, the correct dosing depends on your facial anatomy and desired outcome. To effectively prevent wrinkles, some degree of movement restriction is necessary.

Yes, Botox can help delay the onset of wrinkles caused by muscle movement if started early. However, it doesn’t prevent wrinkles caused by factors like sleeping positions (face squishing against the pillow) or collagen loss.

There are a few reasons wrinkles might persist after Botox:

  • You may need a touch-up at your 2-week follow-up to perfect the results.
  • It’s better to undertreat during your first session to avoid overtreatment, as additional units can be added later but cannot be reversed.
  • Wrinkles caused by lifestyle factors (e.g., sun exposure, sleeping habits) or collagen loss are not improved with Botox and require different treatments.
