Dermal Filler of the Cheeks

Dermal Filler for the Cheeks: What Is It For?

Our cheek filler technique offers a minimally invasive way to achieve temporary yet long-lasting results that naturally fade over approximately three years.

Benefits of Cheek Fillers

Cheek fillers are designed to enhance the structure and support of the medial and lateral areas of the face. Whether for female or male clients, cheek filler treatments offer a range of benefits, including:

  • Almost Instant Results: Noticeable improvements immediately after the procedure.
  • Increased Cheek Volume: Adds youthful fullness to the cheeks.
  • Enhanced Profile Definition: Creates a more sculpted and balanced appearance.

Proportional Jawline Support: Complements and improves jawline contouring

Cheek Filler Procedure

At NoMi Beach Health, we believe that the cheeks play a vital role in defining and enhancing the overall structure of the face. Most patients typically require 2-3 syringes for optimal cheek enhancement. These are strategically injected into the lateral aspects of the face to create a more defined and chiseled appearance. For those experiencing volume loss, the medial cheeks are also treated to restore balance and fullness.

This non-surgical facial enhancement uses a single entry point on each side of the face, with a cannula technique to minimize bruising and reduce the risk of vascular complications. The result is a subtle yet impactful improvement that elevates your natural beauty.

Pre-Care

To minimize bruising during your cheek filler procedure, please follow these guidelines:

  • Avoid consuming alcohol for at least 3 days prior to your appointment.
  • Consult with your healthcare provider about temporarily discontinuing blood-thinning medications or supplements, such as Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Aspirin, Aleve, or Fish Oil.
  • Arrive at your appointment without makeup for a clean and safe treatment experience.

Post-Care

After your filler treatment, please adhere to the following post-care instructions for optimal results:

  • Refrain from working out for at least 24 hours.
  • Avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours.
  • Do not rub or massage the treated areas for 4 hours.
  • Swelling is normal and expected. It typically subsides within 2 weeks, though minor residual swelling may persist for up to 4 weeks. Please plan your appointments accordingly if you have any major events coming up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cheek filler gradually fades over approximately three years, depending on the specific product used during the procedure.

This depends on the type of filler used:

  • If hyaluronic acid-based fillers are used, they are completely dissolvable.
  • If Radiesse® is used, it can be partially dissolved, with the remaining filler breaking down naturally over 2-3 years.
Jawline fillers typically settle within two weeks. However, some patients may experience residual swelling and should allow at least four weeks to see the final results.
Patients with excessive cheek volume or naturally prominent cheekbones may not benefit from cheek filler and may achieve better facial balance by focusing on other areas. This will be addressed during your consultation.
Absolutely. The cheeks are among the most frequently treated areas. As a results-driven med spa catering to men, we often recommend cheek filler to complement jawline filler for a balanced, harmonious appearance.
